At the 16th Annual World Congress of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO 2017), Bioinformatics Solutions Inc. (BSI) and Bruker announced collaboration on computational workflows in PEAKS to support analysis of data generated from the novel timsTOF Pro system.
The timsTOF Pro mass spectrometer released by Bruker at HUPO utilizes proprietary trapped ion mobility spectrometry (TIMS) technology enabled on quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer (QTOF-MS) for higher-speed, higher-sensitivity and robust shotgun proteomics. For more information, consult Bruker’s timsTOF Pro press release.
PEAKS Studio, as the flagship software of BSI, will support the analysis of timsTOF data in early 2018. The unique workflow of combining de novo sequencing with traditional database searches offered by PEAKS Studio, together with the compelling data quality derived by fourth-dimension ion mobility of the timsTOF Pro, offers scientists the tools to map the proteome with unprecedented depth, completeness and dynamic range.
